Belly Fat And Stress

Living in this very fast-paced urban jungle can take a toll on our bodies. We can feel the pressure of having to work hard and maintaining the household. We wake up every single day, following a routine that is stressful and draining.

We are always on-the-go and pressed for time. We barely have the time to prepare home-cooked meals so we go to the nearest fast food restaurant to have our breakfast, lunch, or dinner. We all know the dangers of eating fast food. They are full of unnecessary calories coming from sugar and fat. Our continued patronage of such junk food will translate to us gaining weight.

Stress has been a known factor which contributes to weight gain. When we experience prolonged stress, our body releases cortisol, a hormone which releases fat in the bloodstream. It then works to have the released fat stored again as visceral fat. Visceral fat is the fat that surrounds our internal organs.

Some people who are stressed tend to overeat. They would reach for their feel-good food products that are delicious but filled with too much sugar and bad fat. The excessive eatingĀ  to relieve stress could result to weight gain.

In trying to lose weight, we always hear two things: diet and exercise. These two are the two most important tools you can use to lose the unwanted weight. Reducing fat in the body will only happen if you eat right and continually exercise.

There is no need to perform thousands of crunches to lose the belly fat because no matter how many crunches you do, the body works to remove body fat systemically, not specifically.

Exercise is a good way to reduce and manage stress through the release of endorphins. Massages are also good to relax your body so that you will become less stressed. You need to take a break from time to time so that your body can breathe.

Consistency is important when you are trying to lose weight. You need to dedicate time and effort so that you will continuously burn off the fat. You need to find the time to do it. Thirty minutes to an hour of exercise will do your body good.

You also need to prepare your own food so that you do not have to rely on fast food restaurants to provide you with meals. Follow healthy recipes that are low in calorie but very filling and delicious.

Eating healthily does not mean you have to sacrifice taste. Minimize the use of oil when cooking. If you do need oil for cooking, use olive oil instead. Trim off the fat from the meat so that you will not be tempted to eat them when they are cooked. These small changes will have a huge impact in your weight loss journey.
